Just Want You to Know

I've fallen in and out of love with different men. . . but having you has given me the feeling of a love like I've never known. A love I can't even fully describe. See, I prayed to Allah to bless me with a king, and he saw fit to bless me with yor essence. From my womb blossomed the beginnings of a real man. One sent to humble me. I love you.

I watch the leaves fall from the trees
making their beautiful and poetic separation from their parent
and I can think of nothing but the softness of your skin
and the way your tiny lips pucker when I've kissed you one time too many
I know one day you'll grown and leave this nest
but for now, I enjoy the expressions that cross your face
barely registering because your eyebrows are still forming
there will come a time when you're too big for mommy to hold
but I've fallen in love with the way your precious toes separate when I feed you
and my heart grows an extra chamber to store my love for you whenever you open those beautiful eyes
and your look spells out. . .
